A person with HIV who takes HIV medication (ART) as prescribed can achieve:
(1) Viral Suppression- having less than 200 copies of HIV per millilitre of blood; and
(2) Undetectable Viral Load- viral load so low that test can’t detect it.
A person who remains virally suppressed can stay healthy, live longer and have reduced risk of transmitting HIV to HIV- negative partner.
The theme for today December 1, 2019, World AIDS Day is
” Communities make the Difference”.
Help me spread this good news to your acquaintances, friends and loved ones…..
