Basseterre, Saint Kitts, February 24, 2026 (PMO) – Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis and Chairman of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, will co-chair a high-level meeting with United States Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, during the Fiftieth Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM.
The engagement, scheduled for Wednesday, February 25, 2026, will bring together CARICOM Heads of Government and senior officials for strategic discussions with the United States on matters of shared priority.
The meeting underscores the deep and longstanding partnership between CARICOM and the United States, and reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation in key areas.
In addition to the multilateral engagement, Prime Minister Drew is also expected to hold a bilateral meeting with Secretary Rubio. This bilateral discussion will allow for more focused dialogue on issues of national importance to Saint Kitts and Nevis, as well as opportunities to deepen cooperation between the two countries.
Prime Minister Drew has consistently emphasized the importance of principled, respectful, and strategic engagement with international partners, noting that small states must remain united while actively shaping their place within an evolving global order.
