Powell accepted a donation of seventy-two (72) touch-less thermometers
from the Rotary Club of Liamigua for distribution to Schools in St. Kitts
The Rotary Club of Liamigua has been in existence since 2003 prides itself
as being a service organisation of professionals who want to make a
positive difference in their communities. President of the club, for the year
2020-2021, Deniece Alleyne, presented the thermometers on behalf of the
organisation during their breakfast meeting on Wednesday January 20,
2021.
The president of the organisation exclaimed it was a pleasure to make a
“contribution to the state’s battle against the covid-19 pandemic…by
making a tangible donation to the Ministry of Education for the benefits of
our schools.”
Ms. Alleyne further stated that the thermometers are a means by which the
Rotary Club of Liamigua is assisting in the fight against the coronavirus by
assisting schools to effectively adhere to the covid-19 protocols.
In expressing gratitude for the kind donation, Minister Powell stated its
importance as he explained that many of the devices that are being used in
the schools currently are nearing the end of their lifespan.
A continued hand for partnership was then extended by the Minister to the
