| Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 2, 2021 (SKNIS): Minister of Health, the Honourable Akilah Bryon-Nisbett, spoke to the eligibility for persons getting their electronic vaccination cards. During the September 1 edition of the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) COVID-19 Briefing at the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Headquarters at Lime Kiln, Minister Byron-Nisbett said: “You will not be able to receive your electronic version of your vaccination card, so you will need to have both jabs in arm before you can receive the electronic version of your card.” Additionally, she said, “We are going to continue with the physical copy of the card as well as having the electronic card because there are some persons who are not quite comfortable with technology so we will continue to have the physical versions available as well.” “In terms of being able to receive the electronic version on Nevis, we are discussing with our counterparts in Nevis to identify the location for where the information can be provided so that you (Nevisians) can receive the electronic versions of your card,” said Honourable Bryon-Nisbett. “It is important for you to be able to go into a centre to be able to make sure that your information that is on your government-issued identification matches back to the information in the database,” she said. “We are only going to be providing that service at the ICT centre up until Friday in order for you to be given the electronic version of your card and after Friday, persons will be told of the new venue where they will be able to receive the electronic version,” said the Honourable Minister of Health. -30- |
