The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is deeply saddened and concerned at the unprecedented scenes that unfolded at the Capitol Building in Washington DC, USA, during the certification of the votes of the presidential elections by the US Congress. The storming of the US Congress was a gross affront to democracy and the rule of law in a country which has been viewed as a leading light of representative governance the world over. CARICOM looks forward to the restoration of order and the continuation of the process of transfer of power in a peaceful manner. 6 January 2021

An essential quality for successful interventions by social workers is confidentiality. Ms. Kaedida Fough and Ms. Dolicia Barry will pursue studies in Medicine, Ms. Kaliyana DeSuza will pursue studies in Stomatology (Dentistry) and Ms. Abiola Powell will pursue studies in Nursing. The Ministry of National Security has been made aware that certain proposals made by the Ministry during the St. Kitts & Nevis Budget Estimates process in preparation for the 2021 Budget are being circulated in the Public domain via social media channels. The budgetary process affords the various Ministries the opportunity to examine expenditure and revenue measures for the upcoming year. New Lights to Improve Traffic in Downtown Basseterre The Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Post and Urban Development is continuing with the Phase 2 Installation of Traffic Signals throughout St. Kitts. Synergy Engineering Ltd., the contractor on this project, is expected to complete the project by the end of March 2021. The Public Works Department has identified seven areas where these new traffic lights will be installed. One has been earmarked for the junction at Wellington Road and Dickerson Street (near to S. L.
